About the role Honeycomb is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join its automatic decisions group, focusing on the tabular data prediction team. The role involves designing and implementing robust ML models and data-driven systems that directly influence underwriting, risk assessment, and core business workflows. You will own projects end-to-end and help shape high-scale, production-grade ML architecture. Responsibilities - Build and improve tabular models that drive automated decisions and efficiency at scale. - Work on projects such as expected lifetime revenue, renewal rate, chance to bind, and expected underwriter decision. - Own projects end-to-end: from framing the problem with stakeholders to deploying and monitoring in production. - Bring an impact-driven, accountable, and independent mindset as a positive team player. Requirements - MSc. or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field. - 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying data science or ML solutions, with strong expertise in tabular data modeling. - Experience with production deployment of ML models, including monitoring, CI/CD, data validation, and system reliability. - Ability to independently initiate, plan, and drive ML projects end-to-end. - Strong coding skills and familiarity with modern ML tooling and best practices.
