About the role Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own vision, strategy, and execution for the Elastic Agent Builder — the critical context layer enabling faster, lower-cost, and more accurate AI agents. This high-impact role sits at the cutting edge of agentic AI, working with senior leadership, hyperscalers, and a global developer community. The PM will define how enterprises build, manage, and scale context for AI agents. Responsibilities - Work directly with enterprise customers, sales teams, and solution architects to understand requirements and clarify product needs - Build, socialize, and align a roadmap for core context engineering capabilities built on Elastic-powered retrieval and relevance for AI Agents - Deeply understand the AI Agent market, major players, and trends to inform strategy - Partner with data science and engineering on benchmarking and evaluation strategies for agent capabilities - Work with design to build UX that addresses gaps in how agents show and refine context - Evangelize Agent Builder capabilities through blog posts, open source projects, and thought leadership - Collaborate with AI ecosystem partners including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and community developers Requirements - 10+ years of experience in product management or solution delivery for technical, cloud infrastructure, or platform products - Deep technical understanding of AI/ML landscape including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and context engineering - Demonstrated ability to lead across matrixed organizations and align stakeholders toward a common vision - Outstanding spoken and written communication skills for both technical and executive audiences - Bias to action — ability to move fast, run experiments, and leverage AI tools to accelerate decisions Nice to have - Not specified Benefits & perks - Competitive pay based on work performed - Health coverage for employee and family in many locations - Flexible locations and schedules for many roles - Generous vacation days each year - Up to $2,000 matched for financial donations and volunteer service - Up to 40 hours per year for volunteer projects - Minimum 16 weeks parental leave - Company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings Compensation Base salary only; no variable compensation component. Salary range: $159,800–$252,800 USD (typical) or $191,900–$303,500 USD (select metro areas). Eligible for Elastic's stock program in addition to cash compensation.
