About the role
This Data Scientist role sits within the JOLT team and focuses on developing end-to-end AI solutions — from problem formulation to production deployment. The position involves high-impact, cross-functional initiatives spanning supply chain, demand forecasting, and GenAI application development. The role requires both research depth and hands-on engineering across ML and LLM systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models from inception to production
- Work on GenAI and LLM projects including fine-tuning, embedding-based search, and AI-driven prototypes
- Direct architects in designing GenAI architectures, including plugin-based and custom GenAI solutions
- Apply data mining and ML algorithms to historical and real-time data for forecasting and pattern recognition
- Interface with stakeholders for requirements analysis, KPI definition, and insight delivery
- Identify opportunities for forecast accuracy improvement in Service Supply Chain
- Collaborate with Material Planning, Field Operations, Inventory Management, NPI, and Reliability Engineering teams
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, or related quantitative field
- 0–2 years of industry experience in applied machine learning or AI
- Hands-on experience building GenAI applications (agents, reasoning workflows, RAG) and working with LLMs
- Practical experience with deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
- MLOps experience including model deployment, versioning, and production monitoring
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, scikit-learn, and forecasting libraries
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders

Compensation
Base salary range: $142,500 – $196,500 depending on location, hire grade, experience, and internal equity. Eligible for bonus participation and stock award program. For sales roles, posted range reflects Target Total Cash (TTC); this is not a sales role.
