It aims to build breakthrough AI to solve major scientific and societal challenges through open research. The institute develops large-scale open models like OLMo, Tülu 3, and Molmo, as well as platforms such as Semantic Scholar for academic search, Asta for AI-driven scientific discovery, and tools for climate and conservation (EarthRanger, Skylight). It also pursues embodied AI and robotics research.
