Biohub is a large-scale initiative that integrates frontier AI models, massive compute, and experimental lab capabilities to accelerate scientific discovery, with the ultimate goal of curing disease. It builds general-purpose systems that translate AI capabilities into tools for scientists worldwide.

The organization operates one of the largest AI compute clusters dedicated to biology, spanning three frontier research institutes with leading biologists. Its research areas include frontier molecular modeling (such as protein language models and structure prediction), scaled biological foundation models, imaging foundation models, reasoning and agentic systems, and mechanistic interpretability of biological models.

Biohub describes itself as not a startup seeking product-market fit nor a pharma company optimizing a pipeline, but rather an open science effort building frontier AI for fundamental science at scale. It engages the scientific community through publications, open-source releases, and collaborations.
